24" Curled Limb German Painted Bisque HEUBACH KOPPELSDORF Character Baby Doll

GREETINGS!  I am pleased to offer a huge, lifelike size, German HEUBACH KOPPLESDORF character baby doll with painted bisque head and strung composition body, ca 1920.  He enormous high color socket bisque head is weighty, but stays in place.  The marking on the back of  his neck are 320 6 1/2 GERMANY.  He has painted brown lightly molded hair, smokey brown eye shadow, brown feathered brows, weighted blue glass sleep eyes, sable lashes that are somewhat sparse, red bow shaped lips over an open mouth revealing 2 lower teeth and red nail and line definitions on his chubby fingers and toes. Aside from lines in the paint and ear fleabite on his right face, his bisque is in sound condition.  The lines do not travel through the bisque.  His eyes open and shut easily and his limbs can hold a pose but the weight of his enormous head has stretched the strings a bit.   His composition body is in very good condition with chipping around the back of his neck opening, chipping at the leg opening area and thin craze lines at right knee and left ankle.  His body has its original finish and his limbs noticeably lighter than his torso.  His molding is very lifelike with full rounded rosy cheeks and a well defined large belly with baby folds and dimples.  He is beautifully dressed in a vintage embroiderie anglaise and eyelet lace dressing gown, a vintage cotton lace trimmed slip with tiny hole at top, much newer ruffled booties, flannel diaper and contemporary frilly baby bonnet.  His outfit is in overall excellent, clean condition.  No offensive odors, he was well cared for all of these years and displays beautifully.
